Hello Families! We are having our annual Scout Olympics pack night on Wednesday! Please meet us in WAS gym at 6:30 PM, scouts are asked to wear class B uniforms (yellow shirts).

Chicago Steel Presentation of Colors

Pinewood Derby Next Week!

Hello everyone,

The countdown has begun, we are a week away from the race! As a reminder, Friday night 2/7 is the check in and set up, Saturday morning 2/8 is the race. If you need any last minute materials the Scout Store in St. Charles was fully stocked when I was in there last week. Also HobbyTown in Batavia (the store with the RC track inside) has various pinewood derby car accessories. If you need any tips on tweaking the cars for speed there are tons of great YouTube videos out there, just be mindful that not all advice will follow our race rules.

Pinewood Derby Rough Cut Sessions Sign Up

Hello everyone! Derby time is approaching in February so we are offering rough cut sessions. Mr. Altier has kindly accepted hosting the sessions this year. The rough cut sessions are for access to a band saw that will help in the shaping of the car kit block. Please follow the link below to sign up for a session. When you come please have the car block and the design ready. If you did not receive your car kit yet please inform Mr. Altier or Mr. Kotecki and we will get you what you need. Also, if you need a kit for a sibling or parent (legacy) they are $7 each (same price as the scout shop).
